The city is protected by the Clifton Police Department and the Bosque County Sheriff.
The Bosque County Law Enforcement Center
This facility is located in Meridian, the county seat, along the Bosque River. The facility houses Patrol, Administrative Offices and a Detention Center.
Patrol division consist of 12 patrol deputies, one patrol sergeant, one transport deputy, one environmental crimes sergeant and one work crew/bailiff deputy. The Bosque County Sheriff’s office has five Master Peace Officers, two Intermediate Peace Officers, one Advanced Peace Officers, and nine Basic Peace Officers.
The Communications Division consists of one communications sergeant and seven communications officers. The Detention center has one Jail Administrator/Sergeant and nine jailers. The sheriff has one office Administrator.
