Housing

While historically there has been a shortage of housing in Clifton, local builders have recently began purchasing lots vacated within the city and building homes available for sale in the $80,000-$100,000 range and building duplexes available for rent. There are apartments available for individuals based in income as well as apartments available for lease by Rainbow Retirement Community. Additionally, Clifton Lutheran Sunset Ministries is also completing construction of an Assisted Living Facility for individuals requiring assistance in addition to housing needs.

Apartments

  • 187 (1,2,and 3 bedroom) for families, elderly, and disabled, based on income. Water and maintenance included.

Retirement Apartments

  • 53 retirement apartments (6 efficiency; 6 studio; 10 - 1bedroom/1 bath; 9 - 1bedroom/2 bath; 6 - 2 bedroom/1 bath; 16 - 2 bedroom/2 bath - rates set according to apartment size. All utilities (except telephone), maintenance, activities, & transportation included in price. All of these apartments meet ADA requirements and each apartment is water sprinkled for fire safety.

Retirement Community

Rainbow Retirement Community offers scheduled transportation to residents of its community via a 14 passenger van. Transportation is provided to local shopping and banking, as well as, to medical and dental appointments throughout the area. The van is also used to take residents to special community events and day trips to areas of interest in the region.

Public transportation for Senior Citizens is through Bosque County Transit serves all of the county residents for medical appointments and other appointments in and out of the county.
